The Roomie Glide is available to purchase at John Lewis for PS160, which Roanna considered to be an affordable price for a cot with the most advanced features. She was pleased with the way it looked in her bedroom and thought the grey color would work in the majority of modern homes. However, she pointed that it's not an ideal idea to rock a smaller baby as it could set a bad habit for later sleep patterns.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic

This is one of Chicco’s more expensive alternatives. However, it has a lot of great features. It's designed to function as a side sleeper or standalone crib and is suitable for babies up to six months. It has a new mechanism to open and close the side panel and is simple to use, even for one-handed operation. It's also more flexible than its predecessor with 11 different height levels and retractable feet for a secure fit under any bed.

Our testers loved the ease of access the side panel provides, which can be flipped up and down at the touch of a button. This was a huge benefit during feeding times at night as it meant that they could reach into and take their baby away without disturbing them.

It is possible to lower the side panel by itself, but this isn't advised, because it increases the chance that your child will be thrown out of the cot. It's a bit heavier than some of the other side-sleepers, but it's very portable and can be moved from room to room easily. It can also be folded into a bag for travel, which is great when you need to transport it. The only issue our testers found is that the side panel didn't move as much as other models. This caused it to be a bit more difficult to see your baby from your bed.
